Why do I need to post this quick tip to to watch YouTube HD videos without buffering? Well, having a YouTube channel and recently uploaded HD videos, I watched them a lot and also watching other people’s HD videos a lot.
However, different browsers show different quality of the video itself. Therefore, I find that Chrome browser is the best browser if you want to watch YouTube HD videos.
I used to be a fan of Firefox, but I notice it shows the quality video differently each day, not sure if it happens only to me or to you too.
In this post, I am going to show you how you can watch YouTube HD videos without buffering, I have two methods.
These methods, will only work for HD videos, means, if the uploaded video isn’t in a HD, then this method will not work.
You can read one of my YouTube tips in this page if you have a channel.
First Method To Watch YouTube HD Videos Without Buffering
The easiest method, whenever you load the video, just drag the circle icon of the playback to the previous time (as shown in the picture below), which means dragging a little bit to the left, and it will display the HD quality immediately without buffering.
I personally use this method. If you prefer video on how to do this, you can watch this on YouTube
I am using Chrome browser for this method, as I mentioned in the video, I tried it with Firefox, but it didn’t work.
With Chrome, you can go this url: http://www.youtube.com/html5
And scroll down a little bit, you will find a button that says, “Request the HTML5 player”, click on that and next time when you click on the HD button on the playback, it will be on HD immediately.
The drawback of this method is, sometimes Chrome change back the setting, so I had to click the button again to make it work, that’s why, I find the first method is just the fastest, and works on every browsers, including Firefox.
