I am using Mac OS Yosemite, and I think it will still work with your OS too. You can leave comment if you like and use other OS.
Do you want to update MAMP and worry to loose your data like your localhost websites and database? Read along, I updated my MAMP a few days ago, using Yosemite Mac OS. It should work with newest Mac OS version.
In the last how to post, I posted my setting to have a transparent background video with Camtasia for Mac, but since the Camtasia itself has update, at the moment I use 2.10.4 version, and now this setting is not working. 🙁
It only shows black background, instead of alpha or transparent.
Then, I looked for solution of my problem, and found someone else has the same problem as I do.
This issue is actually very important to me, as I am sometimes uploading YouTube video to my channel, for other YouTube tips, you can follow this tutorial, or even this post to put more ads to your videos 😀
However, in the After Effects, I tried many settings, and this one works for me.
Video how to get transparent background with Camtasia 2.10.4
Transparent Background Video Setting In After Effects
1. I did not change my file, but in render setting (you can do so, by holding the CTRL+CMD+M Keys all at once)
Then you will see the “Output Module Settings” that looks like this.
2. Click on Format Options.
3. It will open QuickTime options dialog box, on the “Video Codex” option, select “Apple ProRes 4444” from the drop down menu. Click, “OK” button.
I have seen this Mac problem quite long time ago, and I keep forgetting how I fix it whenever I have it again and again.
At this time, with Yosemite OS X, I downloaded an update .dmg file from LibreOffice, and when I wanted to open the application, it did say, can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.
I wanted to print, and I wanted it quick, and my Epson printer couldn’t print as usual. The printer itself run as usual as if it printed my document, however, the result was only blue stripes printed or blue horizontal lines, and the rest was nothing printed.
Trying to solve this problem, I’ve googled then if anyone who has this printer does have the same problem, and found the thread in a forum, and after reading it, this is what helped me fixing this problem.
Make sure all your inks are ok, and the printer is connected to your computer.
Fixing Printer that prints blue stripes or horizontal lines
1. Open your system’s preference, if the printer icon is not showing on the doc.
2. Click “Printers & Scanners”
3. Under “Printers” you will see your active Printer device. Double click it.
4. You’ll see the printer’s configuration dialog box. Double click the “Settings” with gear icon.
5. Then go to “Utility” tab, and click “Clean Print Heads”
The printer will clean the head, and mine took about 3-4 minutes, then, after the process is done, you can start printing your document again, mine did work then.
I hope, if you have this same issue with your Epson printer, yours will be fixed this easy too. Share your experience in the comment section below this post to help other Epson printers users.
I have received an email from one of readers, and she asked how to setup her custom email address using her domain name or webmail, like firstname.lastname@example.org in our computer, if you want to read about Gmail tutorial, please check this page out.
If you are new to website building, also in WordPress, I hope this tutorial will help you.
It depends on the Operating System you are using in your computer right now, but I guess the process will be almost the same. I am using Yosemite Mac OS X in this tutorial, if you’re also using Mac, there is a short and text tutorial how to set it up your mail on Mac.
I have recorded how I upgraded my Mavericks based Mac to Yosemite newest OS which was released not too long ago.
However, right after I upgraded, I found a strange thing happening with my Time Machine.
My Time machine isn’t working anymore. When I plugged in my external hard drive to my Mac, it was detected on Finder, (if not, this link might help) but it was circle-ing all the time, and in my menu bar on the top right, showing “Preparing Backup” or “Backing Up from xx to xx GB”, it takes forever than usual.
I was attempted to try Yosemite OS X beta a few weeks ago in a VM on my Mavericks Mac, using Apple developer account, however I didn’t have time to install in a Virtual Machine, until yesterday, I’ve received an email that Yosemite OS X is released and free to download in App Store, for people who want to upgrade Mavericks to Yosemite OS X.
So I went to open the App Store, and yes, it was there. So I made a full backup of my Mac first, and while backing it up, I google about this new Mac OS.
Found some people want to downgrade or revert back to Mavericks, and it made me downloading the Mavericks.
