My search for a new capable 15 inch range laptop is now over, I bought this ASUS F554LA-WS71 laptop a week ago, and I am happy with my purchase, here is why. This laptop is definitely not the best laptop nor has the perfect specs on the market, but it is well worth it fit my needs and for its price, it is very capable.

Equipped with the latest and fastest Intel i7 processor – i7-5500U broadwell, this ASUS F554LA is very powerful, yet it is energy efficient – Intel has 3 levels processors, lower to faster, i3, i5, and i7 (what this laptop has). For basic to moderate games, and rendering needs, this laptop is quite capable with its processor and Intel HD Graphics 5500 cards.

After more than one week usage, I decide to write this ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71 review. I was searching for a power laptop to do gaming and heavy video editing because I am working daily with computer. This ASUS DS71 fits my expectation pretty well.

Display
This ASUS gamer laptop doesn’t come with IPS, but with a TN screen just like its predecessor, the ASUS ROG G751JM model. I know you heard a lot of hypes about IPS screen, but the TN screen on this laptop is not that bad. The viewing angles of this non touchscreen ASUS laptop are not the best, but pretty good, text will be a little jagged but that’s texts on a laptop, I haven’t notice any distortions of the colors either, really not that bad.

I purchased this ASUS Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1 a week ago, and nothing is a major con about this laptop. If you read the specs, all speak for themselves, it runs fast and very responsive.

Prices changes everyday, got it best on this place.

After using this ux305fa-asm1 for a while, these are my thoughts.

The minor negatives

The RAM is soldered to motherboard, which means, not upgradeable.

The ASUS T100TAM-C1-GM is an updated version of the predecessor like ASUS T100TA-H1-GR, there are a few upgrades, such as the newer processor which is Intel Bay Trail-T Z3775 1.46 GHz, metal body, screen better saturation, and slightly better graphics processor.

Before I decided to pick this, I thought there would be better competitors with similar specifications at this lower price point.

But it seems this ASUS Transformer Book 10.1″ T100TAM-C1-GM Detachable 2-in-1 Touchscreen Laptop, 64GB (GREY METAL) has better specs for people who want a tablet that has decent laptop’s keyboard.

If you have been following laptop world lately, ASUS is the most beloved brand for laptops after Apple. This laptop is the ASUS F555LA-AH51 model. A really good machine for a rare deal, an i5-4210U CPU, 1TB hard drive and 8 gigs of RAM, for about 500 bucks.

I was so lucky, got it at best deal here.

The 1336×768 resolution screen has good color and crisp picture. This ASUS F555LA-AH51 is fast for normal use, but there is a slight disappointment.

Few notes

Although other specs are great, it is definitely not a gaming machine as dedicated GPU or dedicated video card are just not found with this laptop. If gaming is your main goal for a laptop, I suggest you to check gaming laptop because it has dedicated graphics card.

You will get the laptop, charger, warranty card and user manual inside the box.

I purchased this laptop last month, on September 3rd.

A note, I wouldn’t write technical specs or other geeky stuff about this ASUS ROG GL551JM-DH71 as the official page will give you more info on this.

I was looking at an ASUS laptop that I can bring anywhere I go, especially to work. For years I have used a Toshiba laptop and I am still a fan of them, because they have been efficient and affordable.

Now, I want to have a device that can fit my tasks and GAMING, because I am very seldom at home, sitting in front of my desktop, playing games after working all day. If I am home, I want to either rest on my sofa or bed and play some of my games.

I have my desktop as the main computer at home, and I wanted an affordable ASUS machine to take for my classes.

I have used a Chromebook in the past years, and although it was great, it had some limitations in what I can do on it.

So I need a cheap machine where I can take everywhere, and if it were stolen, I wouldn’t regret buying an expensive laptop.

I have been searching around, and for this price, this Asus x551mav-rcln06 is the best deal available at the moment.

I needed a full laptop personal computer, and not a netbook, or a Chromebook, so I really love this laptop. I use my desktop at home, and use a laptop whenever I am out of the house, to works with Excel or Word, Skype, iTunes, and YouTube.

I actually bought it from here as it’s bit lower in price.

I was a bit skeptical after seeing the price tag, as I was searching for an affordable laptop. The laptop isn’t powerful at all, but I like it because it’s a good machine.
