“A media driver your computer needs is missing” Win 10 with Parallel Desktop

Windows 10 build 10049 technical preview was released some days ago and available to download.

I thought I would want to install it on my HP laptop, but I decided to install it on my iMac.

I don’t recommend you to install Windows Technical Preview version on your laptop or PC and if you do, please update media drivers of your computer first.

So I also downloaded it, and wanted to install with Virtual Machine, Parallel Desktop.

The first steps were running as usual, I have installed Windows 10 technical preview many times, but this time, this installation stopped in the “Windows Setup” process to select the driver to install step, with “”A media driver your computer needs is missing” error message.

Here is the screenshot saying “A media driver your computer needs is missing”

I once had this problem some months ago, and downloading the fresh Windows .iso file did help, so I thought I would do the same. I downloaded the .iso again.

And tried to install it again, surprisingly downloading the fresh file didn’t solve the problem.

So if you also have Parallel Desktop and want to install Windows on your computer, find the same A media driver your computer needs is missing problem as I did, this solution I found, might help you.
